School built 1838. Stucco, grey slate roof. Entrance block with flanking wings. Thirteen windows, five in central three storey block which has plain pilasters, cornice and first floor cill band. Steps rise to a large projecting porch with cornice and parapet and roundheaded windows on a slightly projecting central bay. Windows are twelve-light glazing bar sashes apart from centre bay which are sixteen-light; second floor has pair of eight-lights divided by mullion. Low pitched roof has large flat eaves with paired brackets.
Two storey wings, slightly set back, have three windows. To pilasters, cornice and cill band are added ground floor impost band, recessed aprons and round heads to ground floor windows. Twelve light glazing bar sashes. Eaves as centre block. Further set backs to final bays at either end, as wings; that to east altered to two first floor windows. Wrought iron lamp bracket over porch.
