Farmhouse, now house. C17 with C19 additions and alterations. Timber
framed with brick infill (partially rendered) with a plain tile roof.
Two storeys. Entrance front: C19 projecting gabled dairy block to
the right hand side with a cambered headed 3-light window to the first
floor. To the left of this is a portion of timber framing now
rendered and painted in simulation of the framing beneath. This shows
9 x 2 cells of small framing on a deep brick plinth. Doorway at left
of centre with a 3-light casement window to the left again. Above the
doorway is a 3-light gabled dormer window. To the left is a slightly
projecting gabled wing of two bays refaced with brick walling in the
early C19. Two cambered headed windows to each floor, those at left
being blocked, those at right having 3-light casement windows.
Between the windows runs a chimney breast with offsets. To the ridge
is a C20 stack at left of the central rendered portion. The right
hand gable end has the C19 dairy block abutting it at left and at
right is a massive C17 chimney stack with offsets and to right of this
a portion of small framing. The left hand gable end has a brick
clasping buttress at right which is the curtail of the early C19
refacing of the left hand wing on the entrance front. To the left of
this are 8 x 3 cells of uneven small framing. To left and right are
angle braces. The rear has a deep brick plinth above which are 9 x 2
cells of small framing with 3-light ground floor casement windows to
right and left and one first floor casement window at left. To the
right of this is a flush gabled portion with jowled corner posts and
brick infill between with a timber framed gable above.
