House. Probably early C19, with additions of early-mid C19 and C20 alterations.
Stone rubble, roughcast. Bitumenised slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends.
Gable end stacks with brick shafts.
Plan: 2-room plan, the central entrance now leading directly into the room to right,
with the partition wall to the former passage removed; one room to left, each room
heated from a gable end stack. Later C19 one-room plan wing to rear right, as a
kitchen, heated from a gable end stack. Probably circa mid C19, a wing was added to
rear left, as a short row of 2 cottages, each of 2-room plan.
Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window front; all windows are C20 16-pane pivoted
windows. Central C19 6-panelled door. Right end blind. At the rear, there is a
central blocked doorway to the main range, with 6-pane light inserted. 2-storey
kitchen wing to left with 2-light casement at ground and first floor in the gable
end, with C20 shed attached at the end. Oven projection and C20 door at the inner
side. To right there is the lower 2 storey range of attached cottages, with axial
stacks with brick shafts. Random doors and windows, from left a 2-light 8-pane
casement of C19 at ground and first floor and plank door, blocked doorway and second
plank door to right, with C20 door to end right. The rear end has a hipped roof with
C19 single casement at ground floor and 6-pane sash at first floor.
