Probably hall house, now cottage. Late C15, altered C19, extended mid C20. Timber frame with
painted brick infill, partly underbuilt in painted brick. Old tile gabled roof, adjoining Shottery
on right, listed separately (22/15). T-plan of one framed bay x 2 framed bay crosswing. 2
storeys. Road (west) front: irregular. C20 leaded casement windows. Gable on right with one 2-
light window on first floor and one 3-light window on ground floor. Section on left has a 2-light
window on first floor and a similar window on ground floor with plain C20 entrance door on right.
Interior: large section plain floor joists with chamfered principal beam in crosswing.
