Barn about 35 metres west of Rectory Farmhouse

Barn. Probably of mid C15 origin, with later alterations and C19 re-roofing.
Sandstone rubble, limestone dressings, pantiled roof with raised coped verges;
pitched slate roof to front cart entry; corrugated asbestos, some double Roman
tiles. Front has projecting cart entry with 4-centred arched chamfered doorway
to right side, lean-to in angle to left, 2 loading doors under eaves with hollow-
chamfered stone jambs. Right return has two 4-pane lights with heavy timber
lintels, loading door in gable end, heavy quoins; attached to rear right a single
storey wing with door under eaves level, corrugated asbestos roof; left return
has lean-to with door and double Roman tiled roof. Rear has similar cart entry
with door to right side, pointed arched with one wave-moulding and hollow chamfer,
lean-to to right. Interior: all C19 roof construction, principal rafters, tie-
beams, 2 rows of purlins.
