Farmhouse, with early C17 origins, remodelled early C19. Brick nogged
timber frame and brickwork in Flemish Bond with slate roof. 2
storeys, 5 bays, including the timber framed gable (south east). The
gable is in close studding with middle rail in very heavy timbers.
The first floor bressumer has dentils along its lower edge, there are
three shaped studs,in Jacobean style, below first floor window and
strapwork carved consoles below the projecting wallplate ends which
support the gable bressumer. Windows in gable and brick wing (west)
are mainly flush casements with glazing bars. The door, in the west
wing, is 4-panel in a casing with external pilasters. This is fronted
by a flat roofed porch supported on octagonal timber posts. The door
is flanked by hexagonal bays with glazing bars, projecting timber
cornices and flat roofs. There is a sawtooth-course at the eaves of
the roof of the west wing.
Interior: Of no visible interest, as all beams are cased.
