Greenwalls Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse, probably late C17, with C19 wing, left, slightly recessed.
Brown brick, irregular bond, with graded grey slate roofs. Two broad
sandstone-coped gables, with kneelers, to front. Two storeys; the C17
portion has 4 upper and 2 lower windows containing mid C19 iron
casements in timber sub-frames. The Victorian wing has small-pane
casements, mostly of timber. Flush brick chimneys in end gables.
Late C19 oak framed gabled projecting porch over C18 6-panel door, the
four lower panels with reeded margins.
Interior much altered. A former cheese-room is in the upper storey of
the Victorian wing.
