Farmhouse, probably mid C17 with early C18 addition and C19 wood
casements. Oak frame, almost wholly pebbledashed and with end walls
rebuilt in brick. Slate roof (mid C20 replacement of pantiles which
probably replaced thatch). 2 storeys; 3 windows to older part, 1 to
newer part which has higher eaves and lower pitch. Ridge chimney on
older part, flush gable chimney on newer part. Wall-plates of oak
visible along both sides of older part, and 1 panel of small framing
on east side above C19 outshut. Projecting plinth of large red
sandstone blocks to older part; dentilled brick eaves course on newer
part.
Interior has 1 mid C17 chamfered oak beam and 1 later sawn beam.
Inglenook, with fireplace altered, in older part. 2 sawn beams of oak
in newer part.
