House. Mid C17, refaced and extended mid C18 and early C19. Rubble, freestone dressings,
double roman tile roofs. Former L-plan, extended to form U-plan. 2 storeys, 4 windows,
all C20 casements, off-centre right 4-panel door under flat hood on brackets flanked by
2 windows in moulded architrave with keystone and cornice, plain casements above and to
left, plain coped parapet with ball finials, the whole flanked by terrace walls with
chamfered doorways which sweep down to piers with ball finials; rear of this block has a
3-light ovolo-moulded mullion window to stairs and a 6-panel door under flat hood on
corbels, there is a similar 2-light window in rear wing of L which has a very large end
stack, in return is a 2-panel C17 door, later rear wing encloses flagged courtyard.
Interior: massive inglenook with chamfered, cambered lintel, mantleshelf with brackets
and spit mechanism, 2 tier spice cupboard, chamfered door frames, stair-case with splat
balusters, front right room has shell niche display cupboard.
