2/12 Paglinch Farmhouse

1.2.56 II

Farmhouse. Medieval origins, dated 1632/LEB. Rubble, freestone dressings, double
roman tile roofs. L-plan. South elevation: 2 storeys and basement, 4 windows, that
to right in gabled wing which breaks forward, at left is a 4-light transmullioned
ovolo-moulded window, leaded, under wider off-centre relieving arch, below that is a
part buried ovolo-moulded basement window, next is doorway with moulded jambs, Tudor
arch with dated shields in spandrels, fluted pilasters above flank sunken panels below
ornamental frieze and cornice, above is a 2-light ovolo-moulded casement under drip to
the left of which is a blank trefoil lancet and a lost window jamb, next bay has
similar 3-light windows on both floors, projecting wing has 3-light at first and 2-
light below, 2 lights to the one window in wing return. West elevation: 2 storeys,
3 windows, to left C19 segmental headed door and window, to right first floor has C20
3-light casement, below are 2 four-light ovolo-moulded transmullioned windows under
drip. North elevation: 3 windows, 2, 3 and 4-light windows as south elevation, to
right gabled wing breaks forward with two 3-light windows, that below is C20, in the
return is a flat roof 2 storey porch with C20 light above C19 door in chamfered jambs.
East gable has 2 two-light edge moulded windows and a single storey lean-to. Interior
not inspected.
