Stable block, to former Fryston Hall now store. Early to mid C18. Magnesian
limestone ashlar, stone slate roof. Rectangular plan. Two storeys and 9
bays, in classical style; symmetrical; open-pedimented 3-bay centre breaking
forwards slightly has a round-headed entrance archway with impost bands (head
and bands restored in sandstone), flanked by coved niches. Side ranges have
tall rectangular windows at ground floor, low windows above. Hipped roof, in
the centre of which is the square base of a former clock tower with a blind
oculus in each side. Rear of rubble. Former rear wing demolished. (Shelter
now attached to front wall, not included in the item).
