Barn. c1800. Punch-dressed stone, stone slate roof. Perhaps symmetrical
originally. 7-bay roof. Segmental-arched cart-entry has skewbacks and composite
jambs. Above and to flanking bays, square pitching holes with plain stone
surrounds and shutters, those to ground floor blind. Outer bay to right has
stilted-arch mistal doorway with tie-stone jambs. Outer bay to left altered
with wide doorway with similar tie-stone jambs and reinforced girder lintel,
above which is disturbed stonework. Hipped roof. Rear has similar cart-entry
as front and mistal doorways to either end with tie-stone jambs and overlapping
monolithic lintels. Wall bears marks of gabled horse-gin house (now gone),
evidence of gearing on inner wall.

Interior: good queen-post roof with posts pegged to principal rafters bolted
through to tie beams. Trenched and butt pegged purlins. Hips have dragon
beams pegged to Y-brace. Walls have holes for beams, evidence of former hay
lofts to either end.
