Original farmhouse c.1700 with adjoining mid C19 farmhouse and early
C19 barn. Outbuildings to rear mid C19. Deeply coursed, dressed
stone to early house, the rest hammer dressed stone. Stone slate
roofs the early part being lowest. The early house and barn are in
one range with the outbuildings at 90° to rear. The later house is
a crosswing to right. All 2 storeys. The early part has a later
central gabled porch. A single bay of altered windows to each side.
Outshut to rear. The later house has a symmetrical 3-bay facade with
small centre gable. The barn has large opposed elliptical arched
cart entries and, on the front, an arrangement of ventilation slits
and 2 square pitch-holes with rock-faced surrounds. At the rear the
outbuildings form a courtyard with the rear of the barn.
Stop chamfered beams in the early house.
