Vicarage by Mallinson and Healey. Built 1855-8 (date of Church of Holy Innocents q.v.). Hammer dressed stone with ashlar dressings and diagonal reducing buttressing. Steeply gabled slate roof with tall ashlar stacks. Two storeys with string course. An ordered asymmetrical design with entrance and garden fronts. Central, open, internal, arched porch with chamfered surround. To left is a 6-light mullioned and transomed window with arched upper lights and relieving arch over. Above this is a similar window with recessed ashlar tympanum containing a quatrefoil. The garden front has a projecting gabled bay to left with 10-light mullioned and transomed canted bay to ground floor, with arched upper lights. Above this to first floor, is a similar square 8-light bay with crenellated parapet and leaded roof.
