Estate cottage, now house. Early C19. Coursed stone, stone slate roof. Polygonal
plan, 2 storeys. Step to board door in plain stone surround. Other faces have
to each floor a C20 small-paned casement window with raised cill. Over door a
stone plaque dated 1843 proclaims that this is the entrance to a private road to
Vale Mill and Providence Mill (the owner being John Craven). Similar to plaques
at the Oakworth and Ebor ends of the road (qv Oakworth Hall, Colne Road and Plaque,
Ebor Lane).
