War memorial in Belle Vue Park).
GV II
War memorial. Dated 1922, altered 1947. Ashlar. Tapered rectangular stone pier, raised
on three shallow steps and a chamfered plinth. Inscriptions to both World Wars. Head
plaque added to commemorate 1939-45 war. This memorial originally stood in belle Vue
Park, moved to its present site c1980.
