Farmhouse, possibly only a fragment. C17 much altered in the C19.
Thinly-coursed rubble. Stone slate roof. Two storeys. Through-
passage plan. Quoins. Entrance to right with chamfered surround,
Tudor arch and hoodmould. Double-chamfered windows include: ground
floor, left, 14-light window with transom removed and only 2 mullions
remaining. Hoodmould and square diagonally-set stops. First floor
left, one 5-light window with all mullions removed. First floor right,
one 6-light window with transom and both mullions removed. Stone
gutter brackets. Gable coping on cut kneelers to right. Gable stacks
to left. Rear elevation: Entrance to left with cambered head and
chamfered surround. To right is a C19 outshut addition. Later
buttressing to left gable where former barn was removed.
Interior: Two stop-chamfered beams and stop-chamfered joists in main
room (some joists replaced). One beam is grooved for partition.
Oak stiles and head of early door from passage into main room. Some
early re-used purlins in roof.
