House and attached barn. C17 and early C19. Hammer-dressed stone, dressed
quoins, stone slate roofs. House: early C19. 2 storeys. Two lst-floor
windows. Central doorway with monolithic jambs with, to either side, 4 paned
sashed windows with plain stone surrounds. Coped gables with kneelers and
stacks. Barn to right: under lower roofline. C17 doorway with composite
jambs and deep lintel with broad stop-chamfered surround. Barn porch breaks
forward, added aisle with tall doorway between with monolithic lintel with
timber joints for harr-hung door. Another C17 doorway (probably re-used)
to mistal at right had end. Rear has C17 doorway opposite cart entry and
break in stonework indicating that the C17 house may have been single-storey
raised and extended early C19.
