Church. 1837 by J. P. Pritchett the elder (Pevsner, p513), later additions.
Thinly-coursed sandstone, ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roof. Orientated
north-west/south-east, ritual orientation used here. 5-bay nave and chancel
in one, 3-stage west tower, projection at east end and added vestry at north-
east corner. Gothic Revival, windows in Early English style. Tower: added
single-storey porch to south side has pointed doorway, west door within with
deeply-chamfered arch and hoodmould with carved-head stops. Tall lower stage
has lancet west window flanked by projecting piers rising as ashlar pinnacles,
lean-to to each side. Chamfered band beneath clock on 2nd stage. Ashlar 3rd
stage with louvred belfry openings beneath gablet, slender octagonal spire.
Body of church has plinth band and band beneath sills of quoined lancets. Offset
buttresses at angles and bay divisions. C19 and C20 leaded lights some with
stained glass. 3 stepped lancets in projection at east end. Kneelers and gable
copings throughout.
Interior: west gallery; roof trusses sub-divided into lancet panels.
