Barn immediately to north-east of Pear Tree Farmhouse

Barn and stable. Mid C18, stable later. Red sandstone, stone slate eaves courses
to pantile roofs. 2 storeys, 3:1 bays. Barn on left: large quoins; wide central
doorway with ashlar surround and plain lintel; blocked slit vents inserted doorway
at right with plain lintel. Square, 1st-floor hatches with rebated surrounds;
shaped kneelers and gable copings. Addition on right: walling courses through,
large quoins on right. Door with plain lintel has casement on its right and
slatted casement over; lower roof with plain verge on right. Rear of barn:
opposed doorway as front; stone steps set on brick walling lead to boarded 1st-
floor door on left. Interior: principal-rafter trusses.
