Early C18. Brown brick. Hipped pantile roof. Two storeys. Moulded wooden
eaves cornice on cut brackets. Semi-ovolo moulded plinth. Rusticated brick quoins. Eight bays, of which third and fifth break forward slightly and are
of red brick. Flush-framed sashes with glazing bars. Door to No 44 has two
flush and four fielded panels: oblong fanlight with glazing bars: shell
hood on richly moulded acanthus consoles, with drop finials at ends, and
acanthus moulded architrave to hood. Elliptically arched carriage entrance
in centre, possibly later. No 42 has a mid C19 built out ground floor shop-
front: gadrooned consoles on foliage corbels at either end of fascia:
turned glazing bars at corners, moulded glazing bars in Regency Chinoiserie manner in upper part of lights.
