Barn. Probably C18, extensively rebuilt in C19. Rubble walls, stone slate roof.
Central waggon porch added to front with laithe to right. Entrance to left has a
reused C17 moulded doorhead with a halberd head in bar relief at either end; soffit
has been trimmed to fit opening and is apparently the lintel removed from Hanlith
Hall prior to its rebuilding in 1892 as illustrated in J W Morkill, The Parish of
Kirkby Malhamdale (1933) plate 4 opp p 208. The left-hand gable has exposed
throughs. c1970 extension to right-hand gable. Interior: C19 kingpost roof.
Included principally on account of lintel.
