Pavilion and terrace wall, 1855. By Andrews and Delaunay. Rock-faced stone,
ashlar, and lead roof to pavilion. Pavilion has clasping Doric pilasters and
modillion cornice. Each side has a round-headed arch with moulded archivolt.
The low pyramidal roof has an iron finial and antefixae. In the spandrels is
the monogram CRT (for Sir Charles R Tempest). Forms part, with the less elaborate
retaining walls to the remainder of the garden, and the terrace wall to north
of the Hall, of the picturesque ensemble at Broughton Hall (qqv).
