Road bridge. Probably late C18 with C19 parapet. Dressed stone, rockfaced
stone parapet. Single segmental-arched span over river, 3 smaller segmental
arches on both banks. Pilasters separate each arch, with additional pilasters
flanking main arch. String course to base of raked parapet above central arch.
The poor condition of the former bridge was described by R Carr in 1752.
