Farmhouse and barn. Mid to late C17 with mid C18 and C20 alterations. Slobbered
rubble brought to course, stone dressings, stone slate roof. Formerly lobby entry
plan. Rear to street: 2 storeys, 4 bays. Central mid C18 gabled cross-wing
contains right-hand entrance with moulded surround, plank door, moulded dripstone.
Left-hand ground floor former cross window, moulded surround, lower half of both
lights now blocked; 4-pane casements and fixed lights. 2 upper floor windows have
moulded surrounds, sashes with glazing bars. Gable end ridge stack. To left is
stable with chamfered surround to entrance and basket arch lintel. External steps
to hayloft, chamfered surround. To right is blocked ground floor staircase window,
and upper floor former 2-light mullioned window with mullion now missing, C20 casement
Right-hand gable end ridge, and ridge stack to right of cross-wing at former
left-hand gable, and to left of cross-wing. Garden front in 2 builds: one former
3-light and former 4-light window per storey, each with only one mullion remaining.
Right-hand ground floor chamfered fire window. Right-hand side is mid C18 extension
entrance has moulded surround and keyed lintel, with cross windows per storey.
Interior reputedly contains scarfed spine beams as evidence for former timber fire-
hood. Barn to right is late C17/early C18. Central wagon entrance has chamfered
surround, segmental arch of 19 voussoirs, plank doors. Right-hand entrance has
chamfered surround.
