Shop and house. Early C17 with C18 alterations to no 23. Rendered,
concrete interlocking-tile roofs. No 21: 2 storeys plus attic; 1 bay,
gable-end on to street. No 23: 2 storeys, 1 first-floor window. No 21,
ground floor: part-glazed door to left, 3-light shop window. First floor:
2-light casement window, probably in surround of mullion window. Blocked 3-
light mullion window in gable. Coped gable with Jacobean finials on
kneelers. No 23, ground floor, from left: 4-pane sash window; part-glazed
4-paned door. First floor: side-sliding sash window in chamfered reveal.
Brick stack to end left. Rear elevation, no 21: surround of 3-light
chamfered mullion window with hood-mould on first floor; outline of 2-light
chamfered mullion window with hood-mould in gable. Rear elevation, no 23:
2-light chamfered mullion window with stanchions on first floor; large
stepped ashlar stack to right. Interior: chamfered beams with ogee stops to
first floor; pierced splat balusters to first-floor landing of staircase.
Probably originally part of same property as nos 25 and 27 (qv).
