'Gothick' building in stone, much overgrown with creeper. A tvo-storey
turreted and crenellated centre, with one two-light pointed window and
two niches to the upper storey and a bay on the ground floor. Arcaded
wings of five bays with a small pavilion at either end, of one storey,
so overgrown that no detail is visible. Above the arcade is a crenellated
parapet, with the upper storey behind it, the right hand having three
windows and two and three pointed lights, and the left hand appearing
to be a slightly later facsimile. Welsh slate roofs to all. Said to
be by John Yorke 1769, enlarged mid C19. (Pevsnor).
