3/79 Barn and cowshed at Manor Farmhouse
GV II
Barn and cowshed. Early C19. Rubble stone with brick dressings,
tiled roof with stone slate eaves. L-plan with cowshed to south
facing yard, 9-bay barn on north. South side of barn has two lean-
to porches with lean-to extensions between, north side has two
large segmental-headed doorways with brick arches and keystones,
slit vents either side, two pantiled lean-to extensions. Gable end
to road has slit vents. Cowshed attached to south side has planked
doors and shuttered loft doors, windowless rear facing road.
Interior of barn has 9-bay roof with collar and tie-beam trusses
with raking struts, two tiers of butt purlins. A good early C19
farm group.
