Farmhouse, later row of cottages, now 2 dwellings. C17, altered
C18, and extended in early C20. Timber-framed with banded brick
and flint infilling, the ground floor of C18 brickwork. Thatched
roof. Single storey and attic, 4 bays, extended to the south west
by a fifth bay in C20. Half-glazed doors in third bay from east
and opposite main stack. Thatched pent roof over entrances and 7
steps above road level. Framing surviving to upper floor only,
having heavy corner braces. Paned timber windows. Doors of
former C18 cottages blocked and windows altered on ground floor.
Three flush dormers. Roof hipped, with central brick stack and
single flue stacks added to each rebuilt gable end. Interior not
seen. Said to have moulded ceiling beams and open fireplaces,
presently blocked.
