Part of medieval complex forming Spennithorne Old Hall, now farmhouse. C16,
or perhaps earlier, with extensive remodelling. Rubble, artificial tile
roof. 2 ranges, forming a T in plan. Main range of 2½ storeys, itself
T-shaped in plan. Some quoins. Front elevation facing west has 3 first-
floor openings, C20 windows under reinforced concrete lintels, 4-panel door
between bays 2 and 3. Blocked chamfered mullioned window to loft. Stack
between bays 1 and 2. Single-light chamfered window to loft in return wall
of rear portion. Rear wing of 2 storeys with rear outshut. Quoins. South
elevation, ground floor: board door, casement window in remains of chamfered
stone surround. First floor: chamfered single-light and 2-light mullioned
windows. End stack right. Undated NMR photograph shows building derelict,
and east wall of wing having on ground floor a blocked window of 6-lights
with round heads, below a string course. 'NYCVBSG Report', No 666.
