A pair of coal loading sheds. 1854. Built for the Bedale and
Leyburn Railway Company. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings.
Slate roofs with ashlar coped gables. Quoins. South front has a
large central cart shed opening to each building, with segmental
headed ashlar surrounds and plank double doors. To the west 2
glazing bar sashes. The east front has a single large engine
entrance with round headed ashlar surround and later plank doors,
with above in the gable a circular ventilation hole with ashlar
surround. The north front is blind. The interior contains a 1 ton
static crane.
