SJ 47 SE BARROW C P LONG GREEN

1/1 Long Green Farmhouse.

II

Farmhouse: c1720 with late C18 extension to right, some C20
alterations. Washed brick, Welsh slate roof and 2 brick ridge
chimneys. 2-storey, 5-bay front. Brick band at the 1st floor of the
original portion. Windows are 3-light wooden casements with glazing
bars, under cambered brick heads below, flat heads above. 2nd bay has
a 2-storey gabled porch with a flat brick head to a pair of glazed
doors. Inserted steel casements in the gable ends.
Interior: not inspected.

Almost identical to the Cottages attached to the Village Hall, Great
Barrow (qv) dated 1718.
