Late C18 detached house, formerly West House, set back from road in extensive
grounds. Later alterations and extensive modern additions. Red brick;
2 storeys; 5 sash windows with flat brick with stone sills, those on east
elevation tripartite in segmental-headed reveals and with semi-circular
bay at centre, tiered over 2 storeys. Elevation to road has large pediment
at centre and a tripartite window at centre of ground storey in place
of former entrance doorway; eaves cornice; hipped slate roof. Interior
much altered but retaining an oval room on each storey. Including large,
well-designed Georgian style bay to left which has 4 windows and pediment
and was added soon after the establishment of the school in 1920. Other
modern additions are not included.

Woodlands. Dansford School and Obelisk in grounds of Danesford School
form a group.
