Shop and living accommodation. C17 origin, refronted in the C19. Timber framed with a rendered brick front and slate and tiled roofs with brick stack on the right side party wall. Three storeys one window to front elevation. Ground floor has remains of C19 shop front and side door with a simple doorcase, glazed door and overlight. Deep window fascia. First floor has 16-pane sash window at the centre, with a moulded architrave and a similar 12-pane sash window to the top floor. The rear wing, of one storey and attic, with windows on the south side and gable end, has remains of timber framing and is roofed with old plain tiles. The building is constructed on a standard C17 urban plan, two rooms deep, with two lateral chimney breasts and a dog-leg stair between. Kitchen and W.C in a rear extension. The building has a slightly later one bay extension at right angles to the rear, also with a steeply pitched roof. The ground floor room (shop) has a deeply chamfered cross beam with bold stops, the rear cross beam enclosed in casing. On the first floor, jowled posts with straight corner brackets at the rear. The north wall is also partly timber framed. Roof of two bays with a central truss. Old floorboards.
