Lodge. Mid C19. Gault brick and limestone dressings. Slate roof and stepped parapet gables and stack with diagonally set shafts. Asymmetric plan with house part facing Great North Road and lodge to the drive. Two storeys with rusticated quoins and projecting plinth. House front has a central stepped parapet to a two storey bay with one lancet window to each storey. Oval plaque in gable enclosing shield of arms and coronet. Diamond leaded lights. Doorway in four centred moulded arch with gabled stone hood on shaped corbels at impost height.
