Villa in planned group. c1827 by John Foulston. Incised stucco
with stucco detail; dry slate hipped roof with projecting
eaves; panelled stuccoed stacks with moulded cornices, the
stack central to entrance front gabled. Double-depth plan with
entrance hall behind left-hand part.
2-window-range garden front and symmetrical 3-window entrance
front to left-hand return. C20 windows, those to 1st floor and
to left-hand return with external louvred shutters. Garden
front has cast-iron balcony to 1st floor over 3-bay verandah
with wooden posts and stone balustrading. Entrance front has
tripartite window over enclosed porch with round-arched
doorway with Doric columns and moulded entablature.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
Road-frontage railings are included as a separate item.
Part of a fine group of villas by Foulston.
