House. Built 1762 for Ephraim Chancellor, side wings added later, C20 internal
alterations. Stucco, limestone dressings, slate roof with raised coped verges
and gable stacks. 2 storeys and 3 bays, central bay broken forward slightly, all
windows sashes with slightly cambered heads, multi-pane sash with cambered head to
cellar left and right, central 6-panelled door with decorative fanlight, round
head and triple keystone, moulded surround and open pediment on consoles; heavy
cornice, pediment to centre bay with firemark in tympanum, parapet and coping;
single storey wing to each side with Venetian window and keystone, hipped roof
behind coped parapet wall; 4 splayed steps to front door. Left return has
2 sashes at attic level. Interior: not inspected; internal features said to
have been removed/modified since former listing (photograph of interior : NMR).
