Chest tomb, enclosure and headstone. Early C19. Freestone and marble. Chest
tomb has a fluted-edged slab on frieze, fluted end and side pilasters, moulded
plinth, base; stands within an enclosure marked by a rounded plinth now shorn of
railings, at south stands a grand headstone, plinth 2 round headed tablets with
text, heavy cornice surmounted by scrolls. Earliest legible date, Thomas Ames
Hill, 1822.
