Possibly a bridge chapel, now 2 cottages. Late C15 - C16, remodelled C17 and
late C18. Rubble with freestone quoins, pantile roof with coped raised
verges. 2 storeys and 3 irregular windows, 2-light casements with glazing
bars and under cambered lintels. At the left is part of a blocked doorway
with a 4-centred head. The east gable end (Newbridge House) has a 3-light
casement window in reserved chamfered surrounds with mullions; C19 and C20
extensions to east and rear. The west gable end (Chew Cottage) has traces of
an arched window and the remains of a decorative ashlar, cill band of plain
shields within trefoils. Interiors. The ground floors of both cottages have
chamfered beams with broached stops and chamfered and cambered lintels over the
fireplaces. Both gable ends retain significant parts of blocked arched windows
or openings. Fragment of ashlar. 4-centre headed fireplace to first floor
