Detached house. Probable early C17 core with early C19 and c.1867 alterations
and additions. Early range of random rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone
quoins, stone copings, lias headers to openings and slate roof. 1867 wing to
right hand of squared and coursed rubble with flush rusticated dressed stone
quoins, ashlar window surrounds and angular double Roman tile roof. Early range
of 2 storeys, 3 windows with mixed early C19 sash glazing: mostly 16 panes, under
segmental heads. Central door with marginal glazing and lower plank section.
1867 wing also of 2 storeys with chamfered 4-light cross mullions, those to the
upper floor under relieving arches. Pointed arched doorway with plank door in
east wall. Tall dressed stone stacks. Interior. Ground floor left hand room
has a moulded Tudor arched fireplace and reset Tudor arched window surround.
