ST 68 SW ALMONDSBURY THE POUND (north side)

12/45 Old Pound

House. Late C16, altered and extended C19 and C20. Rubble, rendered upper
part of rear wings, pantiled roofs at 2 levels at front, with brick gable stack
to left and stack to centre. U-plan, former through passage. 2 storeys and
5 windows, all C19 8-pane casements under timber lintels except ground floor
2 sashes to left with brick sides, C17 door in 3rd bay from left with moulded
wooden frame in C19 trellis porch. Rear has two 2-storey wings with irregular
C20 windows. Interior: Hall to right of through passage has slightly cambered,
chamfered lintel, straight-cut stops and chamfered jambs, deeply chamfered
