The Manse
GV II
House formerly the manse. Possibly C16 with c.1700 and C19 rebuilding and
alterations. Red brick, timber-framed and roughcast rendered. Plain tiled
roof. Two side stacks to cross wing and tall internal stack to main range;
reduced gable end stack to right hand. One storey and attic main range with
two storey cross wing to north-west. Panelled door with applied board, and
flat canopy supported on shaped brackets; three three-light ground floor
casement windows, one first floor casement window and one casement to gabled
dormer window. Interior: Tie beam with curved braces visible in attic
(RCHM). The building was purchased in 1918 for use as the manse.
