Circa 1887-9 by Edward G Paine. Gothic style. 4 bay nave and sanctuary with south
gallery. Slated roof. Red brick with stone dressings and terra-cotta decoration.
Arched , traceried windows in projecting bays. 3 stage south tower with octagonal
belfry surmounted by small slated spire: tower buttresses carried up as pinnacles.
Main south entrance with arched doorway with square hood mould. Over entrance
terra-cotta monogram panel inscribed "Built AD 1888".
