House. C17 and c.1700. Extended and altered in C19. Timber-framed,
roughcast and tiled roof with original ridge stack and later projecting side
stack to north east wall. Originally a single south-west north-east main
range with north east crosswing. Additions on north-west side. Main range
of two bays. Two storeys. Front elevation has two flush frame twelve pane
double hung sashes at first floor. C19 canted bay and similar hung sash at
ground floor. The doorway between crosswing and main range leads to hall.
North-east crosswing of two storeys and attic. The jettied gable has a
dentiled bressumer on the front and C17 bargeboards at the rear. There is a
gabled dormer on the north east side. Interior: One ground floor room with
two large ovolo moulded plaster panels of c.1700, and a moulded wood
cornice. Closed string staircase, c.1700, but C19 balusters except for four
symmetrical flat balusters to the top landing. Bolection moulded fielded
panelling in two heights to first floor room of crosswing. Main range first
floor rooms with bolection moulded fireplace surrounds.
