(South Side)
8/71 No. 102
II
House, late C17 and minimal C19 addition. Timber framed,
rendered with steeply pitched tiled roofs and ridge stack at
junction of front and rear ranges. T-plan with rear kitchen
wing extended to the side. Two storeys. Side elevation has
three hung sashes, C19-C20, on first floor. The doorway is now
to the rear wing, but there is a full length casement possibly
on the site of the original entry. Interior: Timber framing is
exposed with downward wall bracing to the end walls. There is
an ogee moulded mainbeam to one room but there are no stops
suggesting that it is reused. Part of the hearth has late C17
red bricks.
