Lodge, designed as two dwellings, c.1891. Red brick with applied timber frame decoration to first floor, and attics. Red plain tile roof with patterned ridge tiles. Four stacks. Two storeys and one storey and attics. Multi gabled facades. Verandah to left hand entrance with eight panelled door. Two canted bay windows and second entrance to right hand. Four first floor mullioned and transomed casement windows.
INTERIOR. Oak staircase is straight flight with balustrade and landing balustrade with barley-sugar twist balusters and bolection-moulded raised and field panels at side. The elements could well be late C17 and a small brass plaque relates that the stair was brought from Palace House, Newmarket. On a visit to Egerton, George V remarked on its connection with Nell Gwyn.
