Originally a farmhouse, late C16. Timber-framed and plastered
with applied timber decoration to street facade. Red pantile
roof. Tall plain, local brick, ridge stack. Two storeys with
later rear timber-framed outshut; lobby entry, three unit plan.
Three first floor, four-paned casement windows; two small C19
ground floor bay windows flank half-glazed shop door to left
hand; two sixteen-paned hung sash windows and house door with
six panels. Kitchen range and bakery to rear, early C19, single
storeyed, painted brick with red pantile roofs. Bakehouse has
original C19 baking oven still in use. Two storey late C18
extension to south-east of one 'bay'. Painted local brick with
parapet gable and end stack, plain tile roof and band between
floors. One first floor sixteen-paned hung sash window and
fixed light window with glazing bars at ground floor. Interior
to main building has exposed timber-frame at first floor and two
sealed inglenook hearths.
