House, mid C19. Gault brick with low pitch, hipped, slate roof and deep, boarded
eaves. Double pile plan. Two storeys. Main entry in south side with doorcase of
Ketton stone, plain pilasters and entablature. East front of three bays, divided by
pilaster strips, and each with a hung sash of twelve panes. Two larger windows with
margin lights at ground floor. Orangery at north end, also of brick with a
parapetted, hipped roof. Two round-headed hung sashes of twelve panes on either side
of doorway, also glazed and in a similar arch with radial glazing bars. Interior has
top-lit stair well with cantilevered open-string staircase with three turned balusters
to each trend and scroll treat ends.
