SP 80 SW LACEY GREEN KILN LANE

Pair of houses, originally one cottage. Lower L-plan core has
C17 bay to W., rebuilt in flint and brick C19, and early C18 chequer
brick range to E. C19 flint and brick extension to end of W. bay;
c.1930 brick extension at N. end of E. range. Hipped roofs, mostly
retiled C20, the C19 W. extension with old tiles. Older part is of
one storey and an attic. E. range has old leaded casements; W.
bay, has wooden casements. Irregular dormers. W. bay has flanking
board doors to S., the right in C20 gabled porch. Entry to E. range
in C20 extension. 2-storey C19 block at it, end is pebbledashed to
front with 2 paired barred wooden casements to first floor, 4-pane
sash to ground floor right, and flush-panelled door to left. Interior
shows some timber framing, the main room in E. wing with stop-
chamfered spine beam.
