House. Originally C17, rebuilt mid C18 and altered C20. Red and
vitreous brick, the front wall of headers, with brick plinth and
off-set eaves. Old tile roof, half-hipped to left. Rebuilt brick chimney
to right. L-plan with C20 infill in rear angle. 2 storeys. 2 bays
to front have C20 3-light barred wooden casements, those to ground
floor with lowered sills and C18 segmental heads. Good C18 4-panelled
door to left of centre has moulded wooden architrave surround,
pulvinated frieze and deeply moulded pediment. 4 stone steps to
door have been renewed. Brick dwarf walls to front, railings missing.
County fire insurance plaque. Interior: left bay has heavy timber
framing in internal walls, and stop-chamfered spine beam; room to
rear of left bay has moulded wooden cornice, and arched cupboard with
shaped shelves to left of fireplace.
